HendryTan Posted July 2, 2012 Report Share Posted July 2, 2012 1. I am very happy to announce that after a long search, we have found a volunteer Bern to join us as our IT Admin cum Moderator.2. BackgroundThe Blowing Wind Forum is hosted in a paid ISP in the USA. We run the forum software, chat software, database, systems, upgrade, backup etc on top of the daily moderation. We also have many admin tasks like member deletion and many unseen day to day backroom work.As our Forum Expands and Membership Grows (Good!) and with ZERO increase in CPU/budget$ (Bad), the task of day to day admin is getting more challenging. Among the mods, we have also unanimously agreed that it is very important to have succession planning in place.3. However it isn't easy to find someone who is willing to invest time, effort, have the correct attitude and skill set and yet work for FREE. He also has to pass the interviews by the BW Moderators.4. We conducted our final interview recently and the Moderators have decided that Bern is the man.5. Appreciate Bern coming on board (he does not know what he is getting into yet )We hope our Members/Guest will join the Mods to welcome him on board.
