Popular Post LupCheong
I first joined the forum in April 2006. How time flies and it is now 2015. Looking back, it has been a life learning experience full of bitter-sweet experiences. Bitter in the sense that I was involved in quite a number of "quarrels/fight/disagreement" with a number of members and even with some of the mods...hehe. Everything happens for a good reason, my wise master always reminds me. Yes, these so called "argument" etc makes us realised that our ego plays a main role in most of our lives in the forum and getting "hurt" in the process is part and parcel of life which makes us wiser. I wish to thank all those who had crossed path with me in this forum.. If not for them, I would not have gained so much in life experiences...from Mr. "Airhead", "the man in the mirror" to Mr. HL" and to those hiding behind with anonymous name..thank you very much! For the happy and sweet experiences, I am thankful that I had the chance to attend some of the gatherings and making some friends along the way. I am also glad to be able to contribute to some of the postings here in the forum. From "A Joke A Day, Keep the Bitches Away", Inspirational Postings....to Colourful Chinatown" etc, It gave me so much joy and gratitude to be able to share those things here. Thank you BW for making what I am today. iamziz, HendryTan, G_M and 2 others

leibniz
I'm still here. BW for me opens up a window in my closet to peek and observe what people were doing outside. It's big enough for me to dump all those thoughts that I couldn't tell anybody until they don't matter anymore. I'm doing well in Australia but who knows I might go back to Singapore in the future #bw10 HendryTan and Bern 2 “Do the things at which you are great, not what you were never made for.”
Popular Post gstc82
I am not alone. There are others like me. Thats what BW provided me as a young gay man in the 90s. That was an era when even in the USA, being gay was like having a dangerous illness, when everyone including hollywood stars were in the closet, when Ellen's coming out was headline news across the world. Can you imagine what was it like in singapore?BW was and still is an institution among our community. BW was my security blanket and told me i am sane. I am not alone.Happy 10th birthday on your rebirth. Continue your good work. G_M, iamziz, Phil and 2 others
Popular Post IkuTube
It is our 10th anniversary and the party is on 11th July 2015. I am not into numerology nor would I want to claim that I have psychic insight about the event. What drawn me is how these numbers 1 and 0 and how they tug to Blowing Wind. How it actually manifests to unfold for something good. The number 10 itself, as we can find about its significance online, speaks about a vibration to recognize and understand the needs of humanity and the ability to bring peace and harmony to all. The number 11 signifies new beginnings and purity and the double digits 1 and 1 are said to double in strength. The date of the event itself, when all the numbers are added, gives an 8 - a lucky number. Indeed, it is a good year for us here in BW. What will be better if we are to take this opportunity to empower something good. With all these numbers, when we are to write about our growth and how BW has played a part, I truly believe the piece of writing will impact for something good - both for BW and for yourself. So, do write in, guys. It is one little gratitude for a forum that has been part of our daily lives (to most). #bw10 HendryTan, gstc82, Bern and 2 others 5 Click Here To Visit My Blog @ "The Blessed Life" *Let me live my life to be an instrument of 'Love', in how I speak and in how I see others* - May there be Love and Peace beyond all understanding -

Popular Post angel_dust
It's via this forum that i managed to gather a big group of nice, like-minded drinking buddies. We've been having numerous sessions (drinking and more haha) since 2012 and we're still going strong. Without BW, i guess i should still be drinking with mostly straight friends, so thank you and Happy 10th Anniversary. For those that have not signed up for the upcoming Anniversary Party, i would urge you to do so before registration is closed. You've got nothing to lose and it's hard to come by. Popular Post upshot
Joined 28 Nov 2005. Wow... that really takes me aback when I think about it. It wasn't much about joining BW to seek out 'Sexcapde'. For me by that time, I already know who and what I want. And cared even less about labels. But there are those who started discussion in BW who were not as fortunate. Those were early days.Days when especially non-sexual information about gay lifestyle was not as forthcoming and varied unlike today at a click of the mouse. If there was a way to give back in return for folks who helped me in my clueless years, Blowing Wind just seem like the best place for it. BW's forum functions beyond just a place for promiscuity but played more importantly, for the local boys especially, an underground haven forgetting answers, stories to learn by, sharing fears; hopes, dreams, strength and find solace in a community that stands with and understand them.We have come a long way with Blowing Wind. BW have kept it's core format from day one and that's good. It's predictable and it feels like home.Singapore and most of Asia still have a long way to accepting the LGBT community and our right to exist on equal terms. But forum such as BW will always serve to keep the movement strong to reach that goal and beyond. Thank You. Am appreciative for the good work Henry and his team have done over the years in keeping Blowing Wind moving forward andgiving us a place to come together. Congratulation for reaching the 10th Anniversary Milestone. Popular Post Steman
Happy 10th Anniversary BW. I had joined the forum in 2006 and attended what was probably the 1st anniversary and another of the anniversary in the later part. It was also my 1st gathering with so many PLUs. It was also the year where I got to know some of the members and the mods (thou not all) back then and attended many dinner outings together with that small group of friends. It certainly also broaden my circle of friends. I would never forget the fun and laughter in those gatherings. Over the years while many may not have gathered but we did still keep in touch occasionally through gathering or messages. The forum itself is a platform where most share their experience, stories and also information (such as travels, massages, etc) to all. It is good to see BW forum still standing strong and continuing into its decade old existence. With SG50, I wish the 10th anniversary happy and joyous one. Keep up the good work and may we see BW 20. Popular Post GachiMuchi
I actually joined BW for more than 10 years. In the early days, it was Mr. BlowingWind's stories / sexcapade that caught my attention. Mr. BlowingWind was the early "Blogger" where the term "blogging" wasn't even coined. Since blogging on blog hasn't been invented, his stories was shared on free forum site. The readers grew and many joined as members, He has lots of fans who would visit the forum to read his stories and sexcapade amongst other writers. As the membership grew, he recruited Lungke, Hendry and OralB to help manage the forum. It wasn't long before I was also recruited to help as a volunteer for the forum. We out grew our servers a few times and eventually, we decided that we should have our own server instead of relying on the free server and in 2005 that we migrated to our new server and started the a whole new chapter in the history of BW forum.Blowing Wind became the forum for Singapore gay mature men to share their stories, sexcapade, love life, breakups, doubts, etc.Over the past 10 years, it also made way for Singapore gay young men to share their stories, sexcapade, love life, breakups, doubts, angst, etc.As for me, being the "fierce", "Guai Lan" Mod, BW had helped me grow to be more measured, more patience, less impulsive, less confrontational, but it does not mean I am going soft. It just means that I am taking things easy these days and letting the new and young mods takes the wheel and steer the forum toward a new future.I hope the traditions of Blowing Wind will continue to be past down where Blowing Wind Forum will be THE place for Singapore gay men to voice their views, find their boyfriends, share places for fun, help one another, grow together for the betterment of Singapore gay community and continues to grow with each passing years.GM Bern, Phil, gstc82 and 4 others 7 http://gachimuchi2008.blogspot.com
worldangel
Happy 10th birthday BW! First of all, I must thanks to all moderators (Hendry, Bern, GM, Ikutube) who have managed this web very well and diligently. Hey …. long time never heard from other moderators like Lungker and Oralb (?). During mid 2005/2006 moderator Lungker was on the ball, I read his ‘scolding’ to rude guests & members who refused to follow BW guidelines policy, now it looks like Lungker and Oralb are sitting in the backbench (?) For me, this forum at least has widened the info and social media about gay live whether local or overseas, where I can search & the feedback on local spots & tips like sauna/spas, massage, gay outlet and other info. Yes, those tips and feedback I read here in regards to sauna, massage, etc. in Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Shanghai, etc. were really useful and quite accurate when I visited those places. Time passed very fast and unknowingly already 10 years and hmmmm ….. I am still one of some old-timers who still loyal to the BW forum and still contributing to this forum, I do see some posts of old timers like Snowball, Sphere, Lupcheong, Kimlo777, Crazygolfer, Clementi, etc. Now, I seldom see or never read any posts from Imchaser, gtsc82 (?) Some have left this BW for quite some times like Erection Day (with his witty posts), Panda9791, Thaiboyz (whom I used to argue on some points in the some threads) and many other members. Once more, thanks to all moderators for your good works. Popular Post IkuTube
It was the search for Home Massage service that got me to Blowingwind. That was, probably, back in the early 2000s where Blowingwind was hosted on EZBoard. Needless to say, the site helped me to find one, thereafter few more, and I kept coming back to BW for other discoveries. Many interesting information, not only on Home Massage but of other local gay related scenes and stories, was aplenty. Other than Home Massage, I enjoyed reading other stuffs here. Most of the stories, most of the posts and most of Guests/Members .. all these people and their stories and adventures , whether real or fictitious, gave me some kind of deep connection. I felt home everytime I spent time reading BW. Sure, there were other local gay websites but BW was somewhat different. For me, Blowingwind stood above the rest. It gave me gratification at a deeper level. It affected my awareness, experiences and personal growth. While I can't stop a gay forum not to talk too much about sex, sex and more sex (as I strongly felt that life ought to be more than that), here in BW there were many more other interesting gay life stories. Through all kinds of shared experiences posted on this Forum, it gave me insights into many other roads that I less travelled, so to speak. Somewhat, I was shown the world though their eyes. Admittedly, whether the forum was much about sex, I felt my gay consciousness expanded. It made me universally richer. It made me to be informed. I felt very much connected with almost every postings and with every guests/members who contributed. They were their stories, their adventures, their insights that broadened my take about life, in general. What I could not do personally, I conceived from their experiences. What I might not like, it made me to understand my own shortcomings, my own shortfalls and how would I want to learn to make things right for my own good. It was then. Moving forward .. To date, there are many things for me to learn from this Forum. From the contents on every threads to the emotions of every individuals, Blowingwind is a good teacher for my own personal growth. It helps me to learn, re-learn, understand and accept. Yes, there are days where I could be affected reading some posts but they only make me to realize that I am just a human. A human that must continue to evolve. That there are still things to learn, to improve, to understand, to accept. Bottomline, it is a journey to come home inward into my soul to breathe for what I am seeking in life so that I can find the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Personally, this Forum has helped me to become the person I am today. It gives me meaning as it enriches my conviction towards life and towards what I am doing. It is a joy to see that the Forum, once just a simple website for Singapore Mature Gay Man and exponentially grows to embrace for every LGBT generations. The improved layouts of the Forum are commendable and progressing with time. There are sections that are filled for specific interests, needs and topics. They make reading easier. All that I can say, all that I can wish for .. for a Forum that has directly and indirectly shaped my way of life, my way of thinking .. is a BIG Thank You! A gratitude that's beyond words. I may not fully comprehend or I choose to dismiss its importance but this Forum is a good mirror for my own reflection. For that matter, a good mirror to see myself in some other shoes. To see and, hopefully, to take responsibility at my own vulnerabalities. All throughout these years, #BW 10 is a school for personal development. I have seen people come and go, for whatever their reasons, I shall fully respect them. Nonetheless, I do miss some Members/Guests that are no longer existed here. As for me, and not because I am a Moderator, my reason to stick around is so that I can sit back while doing a checklist to check at my own emotion, mental and spiritual minds with everything that are posted and say-and-tell. For almost every posts that causing me to react - the good, the bad, the joy, the angst - there are always lessons learned. There are topics here that I have used for my works. There are topics here that I have taken for granted elsewhere. I hope the Forum will continue to grow, grow from the seed of good intention of Mr BlowingWind, to house PLU regardless of age, background, race and religion. Let this Forum continues so that, we as one community, can learn from each other so that we become better individuals. Happy 10th Anniversary, BlowingWind! passby
Time really flies... And I have MIA for a while. Here's my story.I first encountered BW circa 2005/2006 when it was a mature gay focused forum. Being young, curious and seeking other interests, I did not stay on long then.Crossed path with BW again in 2010, this current account was setup in 2011 to remind myself that being in this circle is just a transition of life. The passing by has taken foot and I didn't passby after all. I'm stuck. Lol...Friends and acquaintance made, lover found and gone, great friends stayed on...People whom I have cross path years ago became friends again through BW. It's more than a forum.Never have I imagined becoming an "organizer" through the forum and hosting series of (decent) parties for friends made through here. Travelling with a small delegation of BW friends to gCircuit and getting myself (who is aggressively private) shot by the official photographer, all these were unimaginable years ago...Happy 10th anniversary, BlowingWind! Popular Post HendryTan
It is 10 years since Lungker approached BlowingWind the man to revitalize the original BW Bullettin Board. Over a RotiPrata supper at JalanKayu, Lungker then asked me to provide the tech support. It was 2005 and I still remember BW the man warning us about possible concerns from the Authorities as BW was walking a fine line. Lungker then codified the NO Local Politic, NO Religion, NO Race Guidelines to make things clear to everyone.I was to run the technical infrastructure while Lungker and OralB will provide contents. Yes Content is King. It is Contents that I believe differentiated BW in those days.We had unique contents of Original Gay Experience , their growing up stories. We had mature man sharing their cruise, sexcapades, experiences from Amsterdam, Europe, Japan, China, BKK cinemas to Fort Road Beaches. Experience which many of us never experienced or imagined of except through the contributors words at BW. For that we are grateful to those Guest and Members.Slowly BW also develop more Trip Reports to local saunas and home based massage which I believe are still unique. It is an interesting 10 years and I am glad I took the red pill.Hope to see old timers and young crowd turn out tomorrow.#BW10 IkuTube, angel_dust, Phil and 2 others

JYAG-sim
Wow, didn't realise BW is a decade young! Managed to read nuggets of interesting info at the "BW 10 Years in Review" link (cool layout), including the blackout protest. I've been a member for a year and it's been filled with hits and misses (more hits thankfully). I chanced upon this forum while searching for home-based massages (thanks for the valuable info guys!) and after much contemplation, decided to join it. I didn't expect much response (putting my face up front was a good gamble, I guess) so I was quite surprised when conversations were initiated by others and vice versa. My original intention was to meet more people since I only came out at the end of 2013. And more people did I meet of course (though I didn't meet my bf here). This forum has a great wealth of info, from humorous to NSFW (I always scroll down quickly when I read "Anyone here don't mind showing..." on the train) to queer (pun intended but no offence). Glad to read that everyone had fun at the anniversary party and here's to many more years of BW!! Cheers! (P.S: why the name Blowing Wind ah? Yes, the clueless me...)
