Admin : The First Month

It has being 1 calendar month since the official launch (8 Mar 08) of this new Blowing Wind Singapore Gay Forum at http://www.blowingwind.org/forum . On the whole we see that this new forum at the new hosting site is holding up quite well. Our new web-hosting vendor have being relatively problem free so far and have lived up to their 99.9% up-time promise in March. We have passed the 70,000 posts mark in early April and we noticed that most of the BW readers with us at Forumer have came over with us to this address. Thanks guys !

We have fixed almost all the known technical teething problems. We have done some extensive speed tuning exercise for the forum; From feedback, we believe the forum software is pretty responsive now.

For the search engine, Google has slowly picked up this new forum at this new address, Yahoo and Microsoft-Live is somehow lagging. We are also testing the google local search of this forum http://www.blowingwind.org/search . Still lukewarm response from our readers, we will continue to experiment with this.

Understand from the rest of the mods that the Java chat software http://www.blowingwind.org/chat is working quite OK.

We will be "standing down" our "heighten" technical monitoring of bugs for this new forum. However do feel free to post any issues here or feedback to the mods. But we may now take longer to resolve it as we go back to our normal work schedule.
