HendryTan
1. Our apology for having to put up that message pretty often nowadays.2. We set our servers to automatically put up the "High Load" sign when CPU load crosses a certain Threshold. This will allow the server a breather to clear the backlog request without collapsing under the load.3. This week we added the new Expermental fb-like on-page chat( http://www.blowingwind.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=32591 )As a lot of members took to heavy chatting (approx 6K messages/ day),members fed-back that the chat messages were lagging. As such I allocated more computer resources to service the chatting. Faster response resulted in more chats which added more load.4. The above allocation also end up that the servers were now operating under higher load. 5. We are a poor site, we just have to test various mix to reach an optimum allocation. Unlike commercial sites, adding extra hardware resources is NOT a viable option for us. We had to restart the servers for some of the configuration to take effect, hence the sudden short moments of unavailability these few days.6. This will likely continue for the next few days. Our apologies again. angel_dust

HendryTan
1. Azorius, you speaking from experience I believe readers will welcome more pics and videos when it happens for you but not the moaning from the servers2. BW went through a stage of technology stagnation in early 2000s and became irrelevant. With the BW Forum resurgence since 2006, we're NOT letting this mistake repeat again. Hence the yearly introduction of new features and upgrade.3. We're mindful that the forum is still the main-attraction and must be stable. We thus try to regularly keep our readers inform so they know what is all the disruption about.Cheers !Hendry TanAdmin cum Moderator angel_dust
